Arrest Me Red: 2004 Saab 9-5 Aero Wagon
Nobody has a Saab wagon on their car owning bucket list…because those bucket lists are mostly filled with ridiculous crap like Lamborghinis and Alfa Romeos, but you should consider putting a vintage 9-5 Aero Wagon on your list because you might be able to tick that box for a few grand and learn a few things about simple driving fun in the meantime. Find this 2004 Saab 9-5 Aero Wagon offered for $4,500 in Hershey, PA via craigslist. Tip from Aaron K.

Listed for sale is an exceptionally rare and diligently maintained 2004 Saab 9-5 Aero wagon, with rare 5-speed transmission, xenon headlamps, black/aluminum sport interior, 5-spoke Aero wheels, and laser red paint. This is one of only 11 5-speed laser red Aero Wagons produced! This car has been babied by car enthusiasts since new. It has been taken to Saab and European specialist shops for every repair and I have paperwork for everything! Receipts from my ownership easily exceeds 10k and I have another 10-15k in receipts from the past owner as well. Not a penny has been spared.
Recent maintenance includes:
New oil pump (2018)
New clutch within the last 10k miles (2018… $2500)
New DI Direct Injection box/module (2018 OEM)
Refinished wheels (2018)
4 New Tires (2018)
AC Compressor (2018)
Valve cover gasket (2018)
In short, the car is in terrific shape and is in need of a new and loving home.

Nice ride, but is it a good thing to share that the past two owners have allegedly spent in excess of $20k in maintenance costs? If you're a Saab enthusiast and you just have to have it, I guess it could be.
One of the few designs where the wagon was better looking than the sedan.
You have to wonder if either of the two previous owners was/is remotely mechanically inclined, to spend that kind of money on the upkeep on this car? I would dig owning this, without a doubt. It's sharp, and nothing you are going to find at the mall parking lot, at work or at the local cars-n-coffee gathering. The price is certainly right. Damn! Oh, having an empty wallet for car things sucks.
