A Few Caminos: 1966 Volvo 122 Amazon

The Amazon is one of DT’s favorite old Volvos – it marries extremely robust mechanicals with styling inspired by ’50s American cars, all in a reasonable and logical midsize package. Volvo sold the Amazon as a 4-door sedan, 2-door sedan, and 4-door wagon, but never as a pickup truck. But here we are today with not one, but two Volvo El Camino customs offered by the same seller (actually, 1 camino, 2 potentialaminos). Find this 1966 Volvo 122 Amazon El Camino offered for $1,500 in Port Townsend, WA via facerust caminito. Tip from Zach.

The 1966, 122 custom pick up truck ran nice when parked. It has a B20 engine with an 4 speed overdrive transmission.
The center (blue) 122 has an automatic transmission and with smooth linkage , it’s been wrecked in the left front fender.
The yellow one is a 1963 and it also has a 4 speed overdrive transmission.
Other 122 parts are available, radiators, transmissions, grills, fenders, bumpers, etc.
A group discount is available when you buy two or more!

am a bit confused. “as a 4-door sedan, 2-door sedan, and 4-door wagon, but never as a station wagon.” station wagon is a common american phrase. is it specific to a 2 door vehicle with a long roof to rear of car& no separate trunk? i always assumed that 4 door variants were also station wagons. that, and this posting is for 1 caminoed amazon, and 2 potential el camino starting points.
Sorry, meant “but never as a pickup truck” — small brain misfiring. Also, I thought there were two Camino’d 122s, but it looks like there is only one.
Could you please repeat the question?
While I’m gonna stick with my 220, I can happily report that there were at least two amazons within a couple of blocks walking from where we were staying in Seattle over the weekend – an early wagon and a ratrodish coupe.
