8 Cylinders, 4 Speeds: 1976 Chevrolet Monza
The following car comes from tipper Rock On, who writes: Yeah, I know your Mom’s V-6 Camry with 301 horsepower will eat this thing for breakfast. But, there is one thing this car can do better than any fwd or awd car. Long, smokey, John Force approved burn outs. This is essentially a factory built V-8 Vega. You better put your order in at Costco for some 13 inch tires now. Find this 1976 Chevrolet Monza offered for $4,500 in Detroit, MI via craigslist.

Yeah, it's true. I've seen these cars back in high school disappear behind huge clouds of tire smoke. I haven't seen one in the flesh for at least 20 years now. Can't be too many left in existence.
Drop a 5.3 litre LS engine in this and you won't have to hide from Camrys anymore.
Jack from Toronto.
So be nice to know if it is the baby Mouse 262 V-8….
I love how they were styled to evoke the internal parts of the wankel engine that it was designed for but GM never built. They went from being futuristic to embarrassingly old really fast. Now the shape is sort of appealing in that Citroen from another planet sort of way. Too bad that the interior and build quality is Toys Я Us , not cozy French apartment.
Needs a tune up, eh? Didn't replacing the spark plugs on these require pulling the engine?
