5k: Surfs Up: 1969 Ford Fairlane Station Wagon

The sixth generation Ford Fairlane (1968-1969) was a mid-sized sedan that shared its chassis with the Mercury Comet, Ford Ranchero and Torino, but was styled to match the full-sized Galaxie/LTD sedans.  Today a classic Fairlane is a great way to get into American muscle without breaking the bank.  Find this 1969 Ford Fairlane wagon for sale in Southwick, MA currently bidding for $4,750 with a few hours to go.  Tip from Oldsmobuick.

This Fairlane is being sold as a “Cobra” badged custom – but it wears its original paint and is powered by the original engine.  The resulting identity crisis (not a restoration, not modified, not a original condition survivor) seems to have stalled the bidding well below what we’d expect on this car.  Someone may get a great deal on a cool wagon.

Not sure how much surfing you’ll be able to do just west of Springfield, MA…but this wagon is ready for the beach!  See a better classic wagon? email us here: tips@dailyturismo.com
