5k: Restorad: 1966 Volvo 122S Amazon
In our 2nd birthday celebration earlier this week, also known as DT’s ABCs, you might have noticed that there were zero Volvos in the A-to-Z list…and I can assure you it wasn’t on purpose. It was just that as the list of alphabetic
atrocities awesome solidified, it ended up without much Scandinavian presence, so we need to rectify this oversight with a splattering of Thors hammers. First up is this 1966 Volvo 122S Amazon offered for $5,500 in SF Bay Area, CA via craigslist. Tip from Kaibeezy.
This Amazon is no ordinary original condition coupe, it is a restomod — part restoration, part modified. The modification portion of this car is sports headers, a 3 inch dropped suspension, and a few more parts from the IPD collection. The restoration portion is less clear from the seller’s description, but the paint looks decent (probably a respray within the last decade) and the chrome is probably new. Regardless, this is a lot of cool vintage metal for the money.

This is nice but it ain't no Citation X11.
Amen… lol
That 3' drop must have done some damage, it looks like it's sitting about 3" lower than it should be.
What's there not to love?
Seller must be pretty confident of selling it to the cognoscenti cause that ad sucks. What is it with Cragslist that subtracts IQ points when someone consders posting a vehicle for sale?
