5k: Cheap S30: 1977 Nissan 280Z

It seems like only yesterday when cheap well preserved 1st generation (S30) Nissan Z-cars littered the Autotrader print magazine.  Good deals on early Zs are as gone as the print Autotrader magazine, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get lucky every once in a while.  Find this 1977 Nissan 280Z offered for $4,000 via craigslist.  Tip from Chuckles.

This Nissan 280Z  looks a bit like Jennifer Grey after she got a nose job.  Sure the Nissan looks better without the obnoxious DOT mandated protuberance and Miss Dirty Dancing looked much better once her Rhinoceros horn sized proboscis was lopped off with a scalpel.  However, in both cases the finished product just looks like something is missing.

The seller is clever enough to hide the wakeboard sized rear bumper in this photo and frankly we are surprised to not see a slew of 280Z pictures with dirty thumbs obscuring front/rear bumpers.  The snowflake rims and generally nice original condition of this Z for the asking price is very favorable.
