2k: Too Good To Be True? 1982 Porsche 911SC Targa Project
There is an old saying that if something is too good to be true…it probably isn’t. We sure hope this isn’t the case for the $2,500 1982 Porsche 911SC Targa project found on the SF Bay Area craigslist. Tip from Kaibeezy.
The few photos and limited details in the add only lets us know that the car isn’t running/driving, but it is complete. A complete pile…
We’ve seen plenty of total basket case roller 911s with asking price well above this one, so this could potentially be a great deal for some buyer. Or a total pile of garbage that will cost more to restore than simply buying a decent running example.

I would buy it if it was only less than 2000 miles away
Mountainman, I would too!
Price popped up to $3500 Saturday morning. Next stop: "wheels not included".
~ did the price squirt up a thousand bucks? don't know who is responsible for abuse and neglect heaped on this Poor-sche – he should be tarred and feathered.
Thats just 20 years of "Porsche Everyday" in an open car near the beach.
Note, Pacific ocean is within walking distance , and there is rust on the dashboard, but the 82s have galvanized bodies so maybe it's no big deal. If you could get it running for $6000 , just leave it ugly and park it anywhere.
Also this reminds me why I hate clearcoat paint.
