28 Year Old Faker: 1974 Lamborghini Countach by Fiero
Car guys will talk about paint in terms of the distance from which the paint looks good, like a “ten footer” or a “fifty footer”…but with custom Lambo/Ferrari/Fiero kit cars, I like to think of them in terms of the age of the oldest person this would trick into thinking it is a real Lambo/Ferrari/E-Type etc. We’ve featured some examples of a 55 yo faker and a 3 yo faker over the years, but this next car is what I’d call a 28 yo faker because it might trick the average millennial, but nobody from GenX or older is gonna fall for it. With a 350 small block, at least it’s got the potential for some decent performance. This might be a good starting point if you want to build an obvious fake exotic that can hang with real ones on a race track.

Not sure how the base model mid-90’s Mustang or Thunderbird wheels made it on to a Countach “replica” but I guess it could have been worse… maybe.
