1939 Dodge D-11 Deluxe Coupe
You can easily spend serious coin on a pre-war coupe, but why? Save your cash for something else and instead look for a marque that isn’t hyper-inflated by the nefarious market forces of
bean baby auto collectors. Furthermore, you can’t really get into something Pebble Beach worthy without spending $100k minimum, so why on earth would you ever spend $50k-75k on a slow/original classic when you could spend $15k for 99% of the same experience? Find this 1939 Dodge D-11 Deluxe Coupe offered for $14,500 in Huntington Beach, CA via craigslist. This
post is part of DT’s 2016 Birthday Celebration of 100 cars;
enjoy the ride!
I haven’t the foggiest idea what the book value is for a ’39 Dodge D-11 Deluxe Coupe, but I can tell you that a decent looking, original classic in good running/driving/show condition will often cost far more than the $15k asking here. Even if the Dodge Coupe is the AMC Gremlin of the ’30s, I still think this purple people eater is awesome.
