15k: Berlusconi’s Birthday Bash: 1973 Alfa Romeo GTV 2000
We admitted our weakness for the classic GTV in our rambling love post about Giugiaro’s masterpiece and, of course, the tips started flowing in with more deliciously tempting Italian steel. We can’t remember seeing this much Italian sex for a bit over $10k since Silvio Berlusconi’s last birthday bash, and a run over the white lines in this baby could also land you in prison…but that is another story. Find this 1973 Alfa Romeo GTV for sale in Bozeman, MT. Big thanks to tip from Oldsmobuick.
Normally we wouldn’t feature another Alfa Romeo GT Veloce so soon because we wouldn’t want to be accused of being predictable…but this one looks tastier than a fresh scoop of stracciatella on a stripper’s stomach. While Silvio may prefer his rides to be at oldest from the late 1990s, we think this 40 year old classic is just bellisimo!
The 2.0 liter all-alloy dual-overhead cam inline-4 should be good for 130 horsepower and enough to outrun the paparazzi but not the Lamborghini Gallardo police car. Unfortunately, what was fast in 1973 isn’t much anymore and it would be easier to get re-elected prime minister to avoid incarceration than outrun even the slowest modern sports car…
The inside has lots of wood….(Censored).
The best thing about this Alfa is that you don’t need to be the 6th richest man in all of Italy to afford its sub-new-Honda-civic price tag. So sell your shares of A.C. Milan and pickup something with AC built in Milan.
See a better GTV? Please stop emailing them to us because we’ll be forced to buy one!!! tips@dailyturismo.com
~ i really dig these, Camry money, Italian panache.
I'd be really concerned about rust on any cheap GTV. Still a good find.
