10k: Pepto Pink Panther: 1957 Triumph TR3
The Triumph TR3 was a diminutive two-seater produced by the Triumph Motor Company from 1955 to 1962 (updated per comments from Jeff below). The TR3 was a roadster, not a convertible, as it was designed for open air motoring and only had a small snap-in-place rain protector with removable side shields. Find this 1957 Triumph TR3 for sale in Knoxville, TN currently bidding on ebay for $7,500 with a few hours to go.
The seller includes a large amount of detail on the background of this classic, but only a passing discussion of the previous owner who “probably painted for his wife in the early 60’s.” Regardless, it looks like an interesting car with a pepto pink paint job.
Surprisingly, the interior looks good for a “garage find.” See a better pink roadster for less? email us here: tips@dailyturismo.com
I'm pretty sure you'll find 1962 was the absolute last year for the TR3B.
Sincerely…JeffH
I stay away from the internet for a few hours and I miss this? The The TR2 and early Tr3 came from the factory with Wisteria and Geranium paint.
This seems to be sort of in between. Geranium was a lot more extroverted shade than this.
What's with all the ugly gray cars these days?
I, for one, inexplicably like the geranium interior on a TR2 or 3 (which the dash color indicates this one had originally. Works much better with black.
The interior on this one looks not bad, but the recovering doesn't look to be all that hot. The under-hood photos of the overspray make me proud to know I coulda repainted this one, too.
