V8 Mid-Engine Project: 1965 Chevrolet Corvair

The first generation Chevrolet Corvair (1960-1964) was much maligned (particularly by Ralph D. Nader) for its swing axle suspension that would pogo-stick you into a spin at the first chance it could get…but the 2nd generation (1965-1969) fixed that with a fully independent rear suspension with coil springs at all four corners that would keep you right-side-up right-side-forward and alive. But this next example solved that safety issue by adding a Buick 215 V8 with an Isky reverse-rotation cam (that’s some serious engine nerd stuff for ya!) installed where the rear seats should be – ready to crash into your cranium in a small fender bender. Still available ,This a clean titled 1965 Corvair Monza .It has a reverse rotation 215 Buick all aluminum V/8 engine in the back. 4 speed trans, has not ran in years .Has a K.E.P adaptor to mate engine to trans. A reverse rotation Iske cam motor is now out of car for inspection. This car is set up for rear engine v/8 placement or can be converted to mid engine setup.
