V10 Transplant Ready: 1994 Dodge Viper

The first-generation (SR-1) Dodge Viper was introduced way back in the early 90s as a Carroll Shelby-driven pace car to the ’91 Indianapolis 500. The Viper is known as an engine wrapped around a car, and it featured an ENORMOUS 488 cubic inch (8-liter) V10 that pushed twice the displacement of the boosted V6s running around Indy in the race cars. Today, we’ve got a Viper where most of the body has been demolished, but the soul of this beast appears to be intact and ready to be shoehorned into something else…where does it belong? Find this 1994 Dodge Viper V10 offered for $15000 in Pleasanton, CA via facecrash 10cylinderbook.

Fair condition eh?
For what it’s worth, the viper has a pretty simple bode on frame construction, so a body with similar dimensions would be transplantable. Some kit car body perhaps?
The owner should be glad he’s alive!
It could use a good waxing to sell for $15,000.
essay question:
glance at external condition photos. (oof)
then, interior shots.
no airbag deployment? discuss.
What airbags? Steering wheel isn’t the type to house an airbag, and Vipers didn’t have airbags anyway until the ’96 GTS coupe, then all Vipers from ’97-on.
