Twin Stick Life: 1981 Dodge Colt

The Dodge Colt (an imported Mitsubishi Mirage with a Dodge emblem) is either a cool/interesting cheap classic if you never had to rely on one for daily driving or a total pile of garbage if you needed to get to your destination regularly. I have no idea if the Colt is excellent or crap, but I’d love to take the little “twin-stick” (it is a 4-speed gearbox with a 2-speed transfer case controlled by that dainty lever to the left of the stick) for a spin. Find this 1981 Dodge Colt offered for $2,850 in Boulder Creek, CA via craigslist. Tip from Rock On!

One owner car, was given to me by a Family member two years ago as a wedding gift. We were keeping it around for a Sunday drive car since its so unique looking. Had it garaged and under a tarp, and realized we have too many vehicles. Runs great just smogged and registered. 96,000 miles and in very good condition with one real dent in the front headlight area. Its a four speed with a “split shift” so you actually have 8 forward speeds and 2 reverse. They call it economy and power range, although this is far from a performance car. Fun to drive and gets lots of looks.
