Three Wheels Better: 1991 Citroën 2CV Lomax

The Citroën 2CV was a French “people’s car” that provided simple mobility to the unwashed masses, with a staggering production that lasted from 1948 through 1990. However, that didn’t mean you couldn’t take an existing 2CV and cover it in spiffy bodywork and make it a three wheeled thing called the “Lomax”. Find this 1991 Citroën 2CV Lomax offered for $8,500 in Terryville, CT via craigslist. Tip from Rock On and ME.

I’ve never understood the rest of y’all’s fascination with Citroën. But, I have been warming up to them over the last few years and this is by far the one with the most want factor for me.
Nice little car! One of the few where the tri version is prettier than the four wheel. The first thing I think of though is an airhead BMW replacement such as an R80. It wouldn’t need to go fast to be fun but 26hp is a little light.
