The Cadimino: 1975 Cadillac Calais

The Cadillac Calais was available as a coupe, sedan, and hardtop, but it was not available as a pickup or El Camino. But it should have been. So the builder of this next vehicle did to the Caddy what should have been done by GM way back in the mid 1970s, and that is to hack off rear of the cab and create an automotive mullet. Find this 1975 Cadillac Calais offered for $8,500ish via GrassrootsMotorsports classifieds. Tip from Cory.

From the seller:
I am looking to sell or trade my 1975 Cadillac Calais 500 cum Cadimino. I am thinking $8500ish
The back portion of the cab is a 1988-1996 Ford F150 so glass, seals and interior bits are easy to replace. The rest of it is all Cadillac.
I have been daily driving it for the past week to make sure it is good to go and I have noted the following issues:
Left blinker not blinking
Horn not horning

Air conditioner not air conditioning
Speedometer died the other day
On the plus side, starts better than anything else I own and idles, runs, drives, stops excellently.
I have replaced the fuel pump, brake lines, fuel lines, and tires. I have reconditioned the fuel tank and the rochester carburetor.
It has some cracks in the dash and the paint is a ten footer.

Isn’t this more like a skrillex than a mullet?
No good pictures of the defining feature. Too many issues for $8500, although this would be fun for runs to Lowe’s and Home Depot. Throw a bale of hay in the back.
