Synco de Mayo is a celebration of VW’s Syncro all-wheel-drive cars, which started with classic viscous coupling used in the Vanagon/Golf/Passat, and then continued to 4Motion vehicles that used Haldex coupling with electronically controlled clutch packs…which is precisely what Volvo used in their R cars from the early oughts. Put the pitchforks down and pick up your machacas (or maracas…one is shredded beef, the other is a chac-chac shaker thing filled with bits of VW of Mexico timing gears…) anyway…where was I? 2004 Volvo V70R AWD, Silver on Nordkap, 5 Speed Auto
Very fun, practical, and safe wagon to have the privilege of owning, bought another Volvo and looking to move this into another enthusiast’s hands.
New water pump, timing belt, aux belt and all tensioners/ hardware replaced at 175k, followed by spark plugs, boost solenoid, coil pack harness, and exhaust manifold reseal, turbo reseal, Snabb catless downpipe, and IPD oval tube exhaust. Later fitted a Snabb high flow filter and replaced entire PCV system, new power steering reservoir, IPD lowering springs (retains fully functional 4C system), FLCA’s, and likely many other things I’m forgetting.
IPD HD upper engine mount and solid strut bar mounts, LED running lights, blue LED dome/puddle lights, LED fogs, bluetooth module installed for seamless music. Car comes with cloth and rubber mats with weather tech rear mat. See pics for further desc.
Hard to price these out and have a lot into it, looking for best offer or euro trades only.
