The third-generation Chevrolet Corvette is no stranger to custom modifications, but few are as radical as the Greenwood Sportwagon conversion. In the early 1970s customizer Chuck Miller created a one-off shooting brake for a drummer who needed more space; racer John Greenwood refined the idea into a kit sold through American Custom Industries and Eckler’s that stretched the roofline and added a hinged hatch with Plexiglas windows. Only a few dozen of these wagons were produced, making them rarer than a split-window Sting Ray. This ’77 Corvette wears the Greenwood long-roof conversion over bright red paint with a black interior and American Racing wheels. It’s said to have a rebuilt carburetor, fresh battery, and updated suspension, so while it isn’t a pristine show queen, it’s ready to be enjoyed as a driver. Find this 1977 Chevrolet Greenwood Sportwagon offered for $16,000 in Kennedale, TX via craigslist. Tip from Rock On!
