Notta ’40 Ford: 1973 Volkswagen Beetle

I remember when seeing a Volkswagen Beetle with a Rolls Royce front end was both a novelty and interesting, but that was a long time ago. Today, seeing a stock Beetle is the oddity as many have been turned into Baja Bugs or El Caminos or whatever, like this next thing…which is…I’m not sure. Find this 1973 Volkswagen Beetle offered for $5500 in Massillon, OH via craigslist. Tip from Rock On!

READ ENTIRE AD… Selling a cool little car. 73 vw super beetle with a 1940 ford kit on it. Less than 200 miles on a complete motor rebuid. With larger pistons and cam. New crank. New rods. New clutch. It is now a 1730 cc. Has a 2 barrel carb. New starter. New alternator. New gas tank. I have $1000 just in the brakes. New drums. New shoes new wheel cylinders ect. It runs great. The passenger floor is there but will need replaced soon. Its really crusty. Drivers floor is ok for now. It needs a steering dampner. And a alignment. The steering wheel shake when going over 35 mph. I will not answer text asking whats the least ill take or the best i can do. Its not perfect but is really cool. The motor was built by LA products. In akron.

Reworking the upper door shape to better follow the window shape would be worth whatever time and money it would require. Other than that, it’s not a bad kit.
