Not Many Miles: 1969 Chevrolet Corvair

The 2nd generation Chevrolet Corvair (1965-1969) was a much improved version of the previous car — gone was the sketchy swing axle suspension, which was replaced with a fully independent rear that helped keep the rear-engine car from wandering backwards across oncoming traffic lanes when you didn’t want that. Today’s example appears to have only 459 miles on the odometer, which is either rolled past 100k or the lowest mile Corvair on the planet. I guess it could be both. Find this 1969 Chevrolet Corvair offered for $24,995 in Huntington, NY via craigslist. Tip from Rock On!

I think those comments cross a few lines. What is it about politics and air cooled cars anyway?
Anyway, it seems to have accumulated about 400 miles in about 11 years. On 50 year old tires.
This is one of those cars that will always be for sale. You can’t drive it (because the value is in the odometer) and nobody (outside of corvair geeks) will get a hoot about it.
If the seller couldn’t find a sucker on BaT to pay 25 grand , it is very doubtful that he will find one on Craigslist.
Note that eleven years ago BaT was a little old curated links to cars on eBay site (how does that work?), and this sold for 14k on eBay back then.
A nicer restored version of this sold for 7k on BAT a month ago.
