New Daily E-Mail Update: Please Stand By

The DailyTurismo email newsletter has officially moved to its new home at follow.it, and existing subscribers should start getting the new-format email tomorrow. Fair warning: the new email is a little more “CLICK HERE TO READ STUFF!” than the old MailPoet daily digest, and you may have to make an extra click before getting to the actual DT stories. Sorry about that. MailPoet had simply gotten too expensive for a website dedicated to finding $500 Saabs and with questionable engine swaps.
For now, we’re going to give the new system a try and see how everybody likes it. If you get tomorrow’s email, please let us know what you think in the comments. Is it fine? Annoying? Too spammy-looking? Does the extra click make you want to throw your computer into a lake?
This isn’t necessarily permanent. If follow.it turns out to be irritating, confusing, or generally unsuitable for the distinguished readership of DailyTurismo, we can migrate to a different newsletter service. So give it a try tomorrow and report back. Your feedback will determine whether follow.it stays—or gets shown the same door as MailPoet.

Since when did you stop sending out hand-crafted electronic mails at the internet office, Vince? Will no one maintain standards!?
(In all seriousness, we all appreciate your labor of love here).
You’ve reached an AI bot. If you would like to leave a message, please think hard about it and our mind-reading software will transcribe the message. Please stand by.
Hello? Is anyone there? I filed the appropriate forms in triplicate!
Who doesn’t love ads for “Korean Smoothening Cream Helps Wrinkles Like Magic” cream?? ;)
Keep-up the great work!
IMHO, follow.it is irritating, confusing, or generally unsuitable for me; the distinguished readership of DailyTurismo will have to weigh in.
I’m sticking around, for now, and I understand your quandary, but my finger is hovering over the “unsubscribe” button.
Yes, I have to agree — the mailpoet was broken so i needed something rss feed based to quickly replace it…but the follow.it solution is not elegant. Back to the drawing board. Stay tuned.
Follow.it has been officially nuked. Working on a replacement. I might have to go back to mailpoet… arg.
