Needs Work: 1982 BMW 320i E21

You won’t find many sub $3k BMW 3-series around from any year of production, the modern ones are propped up by the massively inflated “new” car prices and the older ones have become collectable classics. So it is nice to find one for a low price, even if it has some rust AND it “NEEDS WORK, may be minor or significant!”. How bad can it be? Find this 1982 BMW 320i E21 offered for $2500 in Uptown, NM via craigslist.

NEEDS WORK, may be minor or significant!!! I think it may need a throw out bearing but Im not a mechanic so I cannot say for sure.
1982 BMW 320i (e21) 5-speed 1.8L 4-cylinder. This car has new tires, new front brakes (pads, rotors, braided stainless brake hoses, fresh brake bleed), rebuilt cylinder head with all new gaskets, new cooling system (radiator, water pump, hoses, heater core), suspension bushings, steering rack bushings, new exhaust and muffler, shifter rebuilt. Comes with Yakima roof rack. Runs and drives well, but recently started getting noise and vibration from/transmission/engine. Im not sure if its something minor or major, but I have too many projects to focus on this at the moment. Interior is in fair shape. Come check it out

Gosh it’s pretty simple to isolate throw out bearing and clutch vs bad things in the engine vs transmission input shaft.
If it were nearby I’d be on the way to inspect it.
