At that price, why not just buy a vintage Mustang?
At that price you could have a decent vintage Mustang AND a decent Miata. Either of which would perform better and look better than this abomination.
To be fair, the vast majority of Gen-Z won’t know the difference, so for that age group you can have a reliable, manual Mustang convertible. The rest of us however feel traumatized when we look at it.
Me: looks at pictures, brain wobbles inside skull, looks at coffee mug, looks back at pictures,…….turns head like my dog when it hears a strange sound. Turns off laptop and goes outside.
i dug into this weird creation a bit & commented on the C&B site. Certainly VW has been teh easy donor for countless rebody modifications. but Miata? had never thought fo that platform. Japanese have their own semi large volume max quirk coach builder with Mitsuoka. now i am dreaming of some brave madman creating Mazda Cosmo rebody kits for the eccentric Miata owner!
I have a 97 with most of the mechanical stuff done (turbo and all). I’ve seen this kit and a handful of others around and none of them really make it better looking, more practical (hard top) and hide the original windscreen enough for me to go beyond a look. Maybe the Blackwell SPR1 Widow but even then, it’s not $xxxx worth better to me right now.
It’s a dual purpose car. You can piss off Ford owners at the Mustang shows and the Mazda owners at the Miata shows!!!
