Milky Weight: 1968 Ford Galaxie 500

This next green beauty comes from tipper SecondMouse who writes: This is a beautiful, low mileage, 390 V8 two-door survivor that the seller represents as ‘rust-free’, offered at $14,000. Seller also looks willing to trade. Not a bad little time machine for the 60’s Ford aficionado. Find this 1968 Ford Galaxie in suburban northwest Houston on Craigslist.

100% Rust free, original paint, original top, always garage kept. Factory AC, power steering, power brakes.

This car was 100% original when I purchased it from the second owner a few years ago. He purchased it from the original couple that bought the car new. It was always garage kept, never driven in the rain, or left outside over night and it shows. The all original interior is in wonderful condition. The original paint has some scuff and little dings but nothing major, it is a very presentable car. I installed the aftermarket wheels and radial tires (Hurst Dazzler wheels and Cooper Cobra tires) but I do have the factory wheels and hubcaps if a buyer is looking to restore the car. I also installed a 4bbl Edelbrock carburetor and intake which makes the car a breeze to start and drive, but again, I do have the original components. It cruises along with traffic at 70 very comfortably. Everything functions as it should on this car, the trunk, glove box, and interior all light up when you open them. I added a small 4 channel amp and 2) 6×9’s to the package tray, using factory speaker bezels, and it has a wire coming out from under the seat to attach your phone. I did not touch the factory AM radio or speaker. The car has the factory green window tint which was an option from the factory, as well as the “gentleman’s top”. I have the original order form that came with the car when new. Clean and clear blue Texas title in my hand.

I would be interested in trades for 60-79 Chevy C10, C20, K5, K10, K20 Blazer, Pickup, 4X4, 60-79 Ford Bronco, F100, F250, highboy or other similar vintage trucks. Other than a trade cash only, no cashiers checks, PayPal or wire transfers. I do not need help selling, no scammers, no tire kickers. Call or text with serious offers and we can meet up to view the car.
