LS V8 Swapped: 1992 Volvo 245 Wagon

The Volvo 200 Series, (known as the 240 and 260 models) underwent specific modifications to be federalized for the North American market. Unique features included quad round sealed beam headlamps on models like the 1976-1977 Volvo 265 DL wagon and the 1978 Volvo 262C Bertone. The exterior lighting system adhered to US federal standards with sealed-beam headlamps from 1975 to 1985, transitioning to plastic-lens replaceable-bulb headlamps from 1986 to 1993. Engines in the North American market include the venerable 2.0-2.3 liter redblock 4-bangers, some PRV6 engines (in the 260 models), and a Volkswagen-sourced diesel (yuck). Today’s 245 Wagon has none of those engines and instead is powered by a 5.3 liter Chevy LS small-block mated to a 4L60 slushbox transmission. Sweet.
