Very nice example, not sure about the price. Like DT says, things are getting stupid in the collector car market. Anyway, I always preferred coupes over convertibles, so it is great to see an 850 Coupe rather than a Spider. As I remember, these were lots of fun to throw around, and the engines loved to rev. None survived the Rust Monster up here.
Not quite as cool as an Alfa GTV, but with this color and condition I'd take this over the rusted out Alfas that are out there in this same range.
While the occasional Spider shows up for sale on sites like BaT, it’s been a long time since I’ve seen an 850 Coupe. Styling has held up much better than the actual cars have, but this one appears to be the exception. With more cash, more space, a different spouse, etc. this would be quite tempting.
Cool car, I've always liked the fiat 850 series. But that price, $14'500 isn't affordable. DT's cost-o-meter must be broken.
Affordable is relative. 14.5k is out of my range today, but there are a good number of us who could get this after a 2-3 of years of saving. Though I do prefer the 2-6k sweet spot on CL when dreaming of new toys myself, nice to see what the possibilities are with a bit more patience.
Perusing those 2-6k gems is the fastest pathway I can imaging that I would like to take, should I even feel the need to become destitute. Line ‘em up!
