Imported From The East: 1991 Plymouth Colt Vista Wagon

The typical suburban SoCal family car when growing in the 80s/90s up was a Ford Taurus or Toyota Cressida or Chevy Celebrity or Jeep Cherokee…but there was that one weird family down the street with the Plymouth Colt. Their youngest kid got caught sniffing glue in the 5th grade and their older kid wore a trench coat when it was 100 degrees outside and both parents would stare at you like they’d never seen an adolescent human being before and their neural connection to the space hive was interrupted by a meteor shower — but that Colt was the strangest thing about the family. Who would drive such a strange combination of minivan-and-wagon, Japanese-and-American…what is it? Find this 1991 Plymouth Colt offered for $3100 in Huntington Beach, CA via craigslist.

Once in a lifetime opportunity to own the coolest Japanese wagon ever brought stateside. 1991 Colt Vista, manufactured by Mitsubishi and imported by Dodge / Plymouth.

Still has the original hub caps, rust-free paint and working stereo and dealer plate. Less than 100k original miles. Garaged its whole life.

Purchased from the original owning family in Los Angeles who bought it new from Whittier Plymouth.

Starts every time the first turn of the key. Have daily driven it for a year and has never broke down. That being said…it’s an old girl. Will need some upkeep items before too long and I can run you through everything I’d recommend.

Looking for someone to continue caring for this car and enjoying it like I did.
