Henchman Approved: 1974 Dodge Dart Custom

What has 4 doors, 8 cylinders, sky blue paint and more cool factor than just about anything on the road? Yeah, this isn’t a $100k Porsche or another appreciating rare Italian classic…this is a piece of Americana. A road sign on the way from the roaring 60s to the cocaine fueled 80s, born right in the middle of the oil crisis…but guess what…this thing survived the malaise era, and is coming at you like a bad guy from an episode of the Dukes of Hazard or Magnum PI or the Rockford Files. Find this 1974 Dodge Dart Custom offered for $4000 in El Cajon, CA via craigslist. Tip from Rock On!

You only need three tools to maintain this car.
1. Vice grips.
2. Hammer.
3. Screwdriver.
We used to judge the amount of crap we could carry in the trunk by DBs. Not decibels, Dead Bodies. This car falls in the dismemberment zone to get the second body to fit as the spare tire eats up a bit of space.
Having used a 1970 T-Bird 4 door and a 1966 Falcon 2 door as vintage race car haulers, this one’s looking like a nice throwback to my carefree hauling days. Wonder if that a/c works?
Well, I stand corrected. Just looked at the advert and shoot, I bet I could stuff three in there.
Even if the A/C doesn’t work, it’ll be easier to get it working than to add A/C to a car that never had it.
Had one like this , about a 12 gallon tank, lot’s of stops
Cut your business down to two dead bodies at a time and replace the third with a fuel cell.
This would be such a cool driver. EXCEPT: the cancer caused by the vinyl roof at the right side back window. My old Continental Mk IV had the same ‘little’ spot hiding a nightmare. Hate to see what else is going on under that vinyl.
