Hates Fuel: 1988 Honda CRX HF

The Honda CRX was an interesting two-seat front-drive economy sports car that really shook up the market when it was introduced in 1983. There were few other cars on the road that could be optioned to get 40mpg city/50mpg highway (in the CRX HF) or provide an exhilarating driving experience (CRX Si). Today’s CRX is the legendary tall-gear 1.5 liter D15B6 equipped HF, and while you might not hit VTEC yooooo, you will save at the gas pump. However, the carfax indicates that it was taken mostly off the road after 2008 with 85,000 miles on the odometer and then sold once in 2013, again in Sept 2022, again in Oct 2022, and now it is for sale again…now with 85,510 miles. I guess not driving your CRX HF is a REALLY good way to save money on gas. Find this 1988 Honda CRX HF bidding for $12,500 in Morrisville, PA via ebay with 2 days to go.

my biggest question/concern is: crack in heater. is this a crack in the decorative plastic panel or a crack in the fluid system. big difference in level of repair involvement.
The crack is in the plastic, around where the control knob is. It’s not a crack in the fluid system.
Thanks F_W. well then, on a 35 year old car, who cares about such a trivial blemish? That is just honest wear, or small reminder of 1 thoughtless moment.
