It is hard to believe that the Firebird (and it’s special performance version known as the Trans Am) has been dead for over 20 years…but I don’t see GM resurrecting the Pontiac brand or the Firebird Trans Am nameplate anytime soon, as a special edition or anything. And today’s Trans Am is particularly special — it is the legendary GTA (Gran Turismo Americano…yes, they were trolling Ferrari) edition that adds some special gold 16-inch wheels, unique paint scheme, and cloisonné GTA badges. Yeah. I had to lookup cloisonné…it is a fancy word for “ornamental”, which is the kind of “mental” we prefer on our Firebirds. Find this 1989 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am GTA offered for $15,000 in Spring, TX via craigslist. Tip from Jeff.
