Anyway, aside from being stupefied by the glory of a SL Roadster I was also struck by the fact that there was a time (late 60s, early 70s) when you could have picked up an original SL Roadster for what is considered pocket-change today. Which brings me to this next car…which is the natural successor to the SL and a surprising good deal, but it might not always be the case. This vehicle belong to a friend whom has moved to Europe since 2006. He is back to the state and I am helping him to sell the vehicle. this vehicle has been driven only 5000 miles since 2002. In the year 2002 he ran over a wheel with tire which was left on the road. The entire exhaust system was damaged. All the damaged parts was replaced with original equipment parts which mainly was the entire exhaust system and still looks like new. This is garage kept vehicle, no sun damage or damage of any kind.
I recently flush the fuel tank, installed a new fuel pump and filter and service the vehicle to be driven again. As you see in the photos the soft top is in very good condition but the seal around it is dried out.
