Forest Green: 1974 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham

The Series 4C/5C/CS Chrysler New Yorker was the 8th generation of the big full sized New Yorker and traded the fuselage styling of previous generations for some serious slab styling. It was big, bold, and had a colossal front chrome face and rad fender skirts out back. Find this 1974 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham bidding for $6,153 in Akron, OH via ebay with less than one day to go.

About this vehicle
This 1974 Chrysler New Yorker is a rare find for classic car enthusiasts. Its vintage green color is in good condition, and it has a clean title with only 68,000 miles on the odometer. The owner has enjoyed weekend drives in this original beauty for the past year, and it runs well. You won’t find a better example of this iconic Chrysler model at this price anywhere.

Vehicle Details
Lots of new parts, fuel system completely gone thru, new carburetor, and original Carter thermoquad included, tank flushed, new sending unit, pump, hoses etc. Most electrical components changed, pictures show several items, but starter also is new, and have original Mopar starter to go with, original alternator was remanufactured, all new belts, hoses, tires, complete tune up,to include the 8mm wires in pic.coolant also was flushed.I have some Mopar rally road wheels that will be included, as well as Gabriel air shocks for rear, if wanted, also new valve cover gaskets, since the driver side seeps a tiny bit of oil, I included lots of photos, to show some imperfections etc. Few small dings, there’s scratches etc. For this being 49 years old, the paint and body are really nice, I lost storage, so want to see car go to better place, runs, drives, and stops well.wiper motor and switch are good, but wipers don’t moved, I bought bushings for it, but have nothing installed, radio Powers on, but no sound, otherwise, everything else works, all 4 power windows, power driver’s seat, all lights, gauges also.

This certainly could be an ironic conversation starter on the topic of “Going Green” with your recent automobile purchase.
Half-Baked Brilliant Idea of the Day: place this in a southwestern neighborhood front yard instead of trying to maintain a lawn.
225″ x 79″ = Real estate taxes?
4769 lbs.
six-bagger golf trunk too.
As long as you can hum and don’t drive in the rain you’re good. Just hard to think of anything from the Seventies being referred to as a “classic”. Now back in the day ( hilarious..of course though it was ..good gott in himmel…fifty years ago). if you saw this in the parking lot at the dry cleaners……you’d know the owner was in and that the place smelled like a cigar!
Don’t tell Ricky or Bubbles. This is a coupe version of the s***mobile.
