This next collection of Mercedes-Benzes comes as a friend of the seller submission from longtime DT contributor Cory who writes: It is a little confusing….Here is the complete list: three w124 coupes (2 M103 300CE and one 1990 M104 5 speed swapped and now sold), yellow w123 wagon, C36 swapped 93 Sportline 300E. If I am a vintage Mercedes black belt, my buddy who is selling all of the cars is the Mercedes Sensei! Mercedes 1993 300E sportline. Pearl Grey with black leather. Full AMG C36 drivetrain, engine & transmission

The sportline was an aggressive package made up of lower stiffer springs, sport shock absorbers and quick ratio steering.

This one is in excellent condition, newer springs and shocks, replaced control arms, new bushings.

No rips in the leather seats no unusual noises from the drivetrain.

I’ve had this car 5 or 6 years, I upgraded the engine to a rebuilt AMG 3.6 with a rebuilt AMG 3.6 transmission behind it. Both engine and transmission have less than 5,000 miles on them.

The stock engine was a 3.2 M104, which made 217 hp and 229 ft/lbs torque at the crank. Mercedes and AMG sold the C36 (where the 3.6 came) from with 270hp and 280 ft/lbs. The car was recently on the dyno at 229hp and 249 ft/lbs torque at the wheels.

Relatively few sportline sedans were sold in the US, a ton were sold in Europe. I guess because of the luxury image here in the USA.

This car is a hoot to drive, and simple to maintain. Almost all the body parts are shared with the other W124 sedan sold in the USA.

I’m also selling additional cars from my collection of W124s.

I’ve been working on W124s Mercedes models for over 20 years. I’ve had close to 500 of them I’ve had 6 500E’s E500’s (currently I have a ’94). In that time I have built up a personal collection of a dozen or so, the best cars. I need to scale these numbers back, as I simply don’t drive them enough, and my kids just don’t care.

These are 3 season cars, not driven in winter. They are all registered and driven. I’ve owned them for 5-10 years. I’ve built and rebuilt dozens of W124s including 500E’s

These cars are not the usual junk, they have been maintained and improved and upgraded. No rust, nice seats etc.

1989 300CE black on grey $8000 all new suspension, later Hemi head engine.

I also have some unusual parts….

1992 RWD 300TE wagon project car. It’s rust free, pearl black with black MB tex but has no drive train, It has a ’93 M104 wiring harness installed…

I have several engine and transmission options that could work in the wagon project. Including a Rebuilt 3.6 AMG M104 with under 5k miles. A 3.2 M104, a 3.0 24 valve M104, a Turbo Technics twin turbo M103, a fully built 722.6, a Quaife 3.06 210mm diff & subframe, 3.06 ASD 185mm, big brakes etc

I’m also selling my W123 yellow ’83 300TD diesel wagon…
