Our next feature is a second-generation Volvo S80 V8 AWD, the wonderfully improbable flagship sedan Volvo built when somebody in Gothenburg decided Swedish safety needed a transverse-mounted Japanese V8. Powering this oddball is Volvo’s B8444S 4.4-liter DOHC V8 (developed and manufactured by Yamaha) that pushes 311 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque into a 6-speed automatic connected to all four wheels. This 2007 Volvo S80 AWD is equipped with the rare V8 engine, which purrs like an elegant, powerful feline. The car has been meticulously maintained and is in excellent mechanical condition. Tire chains are included for winter driving.

Known issues:

  • The vehicle has a rebuilt title due to prior damage to the side door and side panel before I owned it. The repairs were completed professionally, and there are no visible or functional signs of the previous damage.
