F2T Turbo Swapped: 1993 Mazda B2200 Truck

Tipper Cory sent this next car in with the following spring of seemingly nonsensical drivel; turbo ft swapped compact aqua colored mazda truck frame off restoration. I did a double take…because I’m pretty hip when it comes to model designations but this sounded more like the title of a Tom Wolfe novel than a description of a car on craigslist. So, let’s break it down. Turbo — yes this has a Garrett T3 turbo; ft swapped — which means this is a 2.2 liter turbo 12-valve SOHC F2T Mazda inline-4 that was only available in transverse front-engine Mazda MX-6/Ford Probe but bolts up easily to the B2200 that used the FE version; compact aqua colored mazda truck frame off resto — the rest now makes sense. Find this 1993 Mazda B2200 offered for $12,500 in Belmont, MA via craigslist.

At a glance, looked like two engines there. Pls request photo of the steel trench plates welded into the truck bed. Or does it come with a 12-pack of spare rear tires?
he took a $1000 truck and turned it into a $1500 truck. Absolutely ZERO demand for that, LOL. GLWS….
I like this truck nice to stay in the Mazda Family for a Turbo Mill not sure it is worth asking price but some work has been done to this thing besides motor swap if we wait will it be 50% off soon ?
Pretty cool if they retained the AC.
These turned into lowriders were one of the hotter cars back in my high school and early college days. I’m not sure about $12.5k for this, but it’s what a lot of people are asking for in a small truck and the manufacturers aren’t providing anymore. A small truck with plenty of power to haul things. Trucks today are enormous and “small” trucks today are the size of the 1500 class of trucks from 15 years ago.
