Egg White Omelet: 1999 Porsche 911 996

Today’s fried egg Porsche has been given a makeover with some non-yellow marker signal lenses and it looks much updated and improved in my opinion. It also features and updated IMS bearing, a manual gearbox, and should now be good for another 100k miles. I dig it. Find this 1999 Porsche 911 996 offered for $20,999 in Danville, CA via craigslist.

From the seller:

FS: 1999 Porsche 911 996. Clean title. Pleasure vehicle that’s been garaged. IMS barring along with clutch has been replaced. Most recently power brake booster was removed and replaced so braking system is rock solid. Oil was also changed recently. This 996 features the PCM system with Navigation, and I’ve also added Feal Suspension coilovers. Car runs and drives great like you’d expect from a 911. Don’t want to sell but need to make room for other projects. Serious inquiries only please.

A bit too pricey for the spec IMO. Here’s a 996.2 (much better) in similar condition and a better color combo for not much more than $20k

Those are the original lights. Only the earliest 996s had the fried egg lights. While this one looks nice, it’s worth holding out for one with a full leather interior, as it is so much nicer.
Gimme a 1967 911 S not these bloated lookatme….lookatme
