Dale Earnhart Style: 1994 Chevrolet Lumina Z34

The Lumina was yet another renaming of GM’s mid-sized sedan platform — Malibu, Celebrity, Lumina…it didn’t really matter because it was the same wallpaper paste bathtub experience you came to expect from GM, despite the Lumina being a “NASCAR” nameplate. This front-drive W-body Lumina shared its platform with the Buick Regal, Olds Cutlass Supreme, and Pontiac Grand Prix, but the Lumina was available with the Z34 package, which added about as much excitement as getting another pair of white socks for your birthday. Thanks mom. Find this 1994 Chevrolet Lumina Z34 offered for $3000 in Moreno Valley, CA via lumiface daleplace.

I feel like this car could launch several of those “You might be a redneck…” jokes.
NASCAR cosplay done decently, but no one is going to mistake it for the real thing. It’s your inexpensive way to get a lot of attention from diehard fans (old dudes) at every place you pull up and park. It would be fun to play with for a little while. I can’t recall seeing any Lumina on the road in the past decade. Another example of a common car becoming rare through attrition.
