Classic Style: 1989 Jeep Grand Wagoneer

The classic SJ generation Jeep Wagoneer was produced from 1962 through 1991 by and holds the unique title of being the world’s first luxury 4X4 sport utility vehicle and the choice of wealthy Hamptons’ housewives. The Grand prefix didn’t appear until 1984, but the last vehicles to come from the Toledo assembly plant are arguably the best and are priced accordingly. However, today’s example seems to be a good price when you consider what wealthy nostalgic fueled buyers seem to plunk down for sorted version of these. Find this 1989 Jeep Grand Wagoneer offered for $13,000 in Dripping Springs, TX via craigslist. Tip from FuelTruck.

Hah!
These are wonderful, nostalgic, handsome, hearty throwbacks to yesteryear…..and then you own one. Never meet your heroes.
Such a caricature-ish form-over-function vibe about these. All I see is those skinny pillars versus the high mass and center of gravity.
