Cheap 6-Speed: 2004 Acura TL

This is the first year of the third-generation TL, and the 2004 redesign was a big deal: sharper styling, much more power, and for the first time in TL history an available 6-speed manual. The manual car is the one enthusiasts want. Acura paired it with a limited-slip differential, Brembo front brakes, stiffer anti-roll bars and performance-oriented tires. It was much more than simply swapping a clutch pedal into the normal TL. Today’s example has some rust (because Connecticut) but the asking price is appropriately low. Find this 2004 Acura TL offered for $3750 in Baxter, MN via craigslist. Tip from JR.

Very good mechanical condition. Body is solid but rust around one rear wheel well; both bumpers have small damage. Interior is clean. Everything works as it should, except the air bag light is on and the emergency brake doesn’t work. Tires and brakes 80%, new clutch at 80k, no noises, no other lights, well cared for at local mechanic. 24/31 mpg. Has driven to and from the east coast and Mexico in the last year. Needs nothing except as noted above. The 6-speed manual is fun to drive.
