Bald Eagle Swap: 1990 Nissan 300ZX LSx V8

The 300ZX was a 2 door sports car from Nissan during the great Japanese sports car boom of the 1990s and featured a host of technology in a Isao Sono & Toshio Yamashita designed body. Power came from a V6, which was available with a tire melting twin turbo setup, but today this Z has been given an injection of freedom in the form of a 5.3 liter GM V8, which is described by the seller as an LSX, but it is probably an LM7 from a 2000-2007 Chevy Suburban. This guy is ready for the 4th of July, are you? Find this 1990 Nissan 300ZX LSx V8 offered for $7000 in Groton, MA via craigslist. Tip from Rock On!

VEHICLE IS AS IS. Not responsible and no guaratee for defects known or unknown as car is highly modified.
Not a daily driver – needs to be gone through by qualified tech to be considered safe/reliable,.
Not sure if odometer is 100% correct (shows ~117k) and will sign off that I’m unsure.
Car must leave on a flat bed or trailer. Has an unidentified brake fluid leak. Although I cannot duplicate why, found reservoir almost empty after the winter.
Things I would consider to do.
correct exhaust system
get an OEM GM accessory belt drive/assy on the engine. Custom set up not as reliable.
Car had AC – possible to add compressor etc for AC with OEM accessory drive as above. Will include spare nissan evaporator.
Maybe do a GM oem harness and ECU with MAF if desired.
Oil pressure gauge intermittent – likely infamous Nissan sender issue. Other OE gauges work good including Tach, Speedo, Water temp..
I am not a big reciept saver, but have a few…
Engine etc.- (done in 2014 less than 1000 miles since)
Iron GM block 5.3L. OE Aluminum Heads. New OE lifters. PAC 1218 Beehive Valve springs. Corvette Camsahaft (OE pull). SpeedPro H855CP Hi comp pistons. King bearings. New Melling OE style oil pump. New Corvette style OE water pump. Camaro style intake. Custom motor mounts.
Microsquirt aftermarket ECU. Narrow band O2 sensors. Will include licensed version of Tuner Studio software, and old Dell laptop with serial port. OEM fuel pump.
Transmission / Clutch/ Rear End
OE Nissan 300zx 5 Sp transmission. Custom adapter plate. Steel flywheel (153 teeth?). Chevy style 10” pressure plate. Isuzu Trooper/Amigo ~10” Clutch plate (chosen as same spline as Nissan transmission and ~10” diameter). Aftermarket starter custom mount. Nissan slave cylinder with custom ‘nose’ slid on. Nissan OE NA rear end. Nissan OE drive shaft.
Suspension / wheels – Tein Springs and KYB adjustable shocks. OE wheels LLC infinity replicas have a new in box one also. Pirelli P6 excellent
