Auction Watch: 1993 Volkswagen Corrado SLC VR6

Take a look at this 1993 Volkswagen Corrado SLC VR6 here on eBay bidding for $25,108 reserve-not-met with auction ending Wednesday at 5:30AM Pacific.

I don’t want to sound like a hater, but I’ve got to admit that I don’t understand the bidding on this car.  Sure, it might be the nicest example of a Volkswagen Corrado you’ll find anywhere, but do you really expect people to pay more than the price of a nicely optioned new Golf GTI (with less miles!) for a car that you can’t really drive around without getting hit by instantaneous depreciation?  Sure, you would win first place for original cars at the next Dubfest car show, but is this a car or a Beanie Baby?  Certainly a cool car, but I can’t imagine paying much more than $10k for this…IMHO.
