A Truck: 1962 International Harvester Travelette C110

The International Harvester C-series trucks appeared in 1961 with the Travelette, which was a crew-cab 4-door pickup truck that featured a thoroughly modern chassis and suspension setup that put the body of the cab 4 inches lower than the previous generation. This meant a more car-like ride and a huge transmission hump. Find this 1962 International Harvester Travelette C110 bidding for $3953 in New London, WI via eBay.

I was looking at that this morning, well actually I was looking at this
https://www.ebay.com/itm/1973-International-Harvester-Mohs-/144249540988
, and saw this fine looking Harvester. Just look at that dashboard and steering wheel and all that shiny paint!
Then I looked at the underside and my what a lot of rust. It has that look of gentle use on a dairy farm.

Nice coil spring option, don’t see that too often. This just shouts rich farmer that doesn’t need to impress anyone.
Note the ignition key location for the convenience of starting the engine while standing outside, just like on a Porsche! Just make sure it wasn’t parked in first gear like I did once.
Now I’m forced to wonder if you have “Safarikar” as a saved search on Ebay so that one day you too can plug endangered species from the comfort of an IH limousine …
More intriguing is knowing that “up front is 3 bucket seats that came from Steve McQueen”. Were they made from bits of Steve McQueen or am I interpreting that wrong?
“As is ..non running.electrical problems, leaking seals (duh)….and its up to 5K………” A pink snout in a poke.
Seems way ahead of its time since pretty much every truck is a 4 door lux mobile now.
