6-Speed Swapped: 2002 Mercedes-Benz C32 AMG

The W203 generation Mercedes-Benz C-Class wasn’t the sportiest thing on the planet when it was launched for the 2001 model year, and comparisons to the E46 BMW 3-series always ranked the C-Class as more of a luxury boat versus the speedy and zippy 3-series. However, you could get the C32 AMG version, which added a supercharged V6 that pushed out 354 horsepower (21 hp more than the M3) and some handling upgrades, but you still couldn’t get it with a manual transmission, nor in the SLK32 AMG. But, a few years later Daimler-Chrysler produced the Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 on SLK32 chassis and gave it the same M112-E32ML V6 but mated to a 6-speed manual…so magic happens when someone swaps the 06-08 Chrysler gearbox into the 01-03 Mercedes chassis with a set of wrenches and an almost factory-fit. Find this 2002 Mercedes-Benz C32 AMG offered for $6,000 in Hudson Valley, NY via craigslist. Tip from Cory.

Authentic c32 AMG. Yes it is 6speed manual transmission from crossfire in the car. No mechanical problems.Color of the car is nardi gray but appears like a gray blue in pictures. It’s a wrap that can be taken off. Silver is the original color of the car underneath.

car was previously gutted, has full interior now minus needing the headliner installed & rear seatbelts/vents (I have). body has 168xxx miles and the engine has 110xxx(with paperwork) oil change just done as well as front breaks and rear tires. car runs and drives extremely well shifts great. Trans is out of a 05 srt6 that has 89xxx miles when pulled. Quick car fun to drive only selling because moving to city and won’t need a car. Feel free to message me any questions (serious buyers only, not here to talk about how the swap was done)

No. Crossfire was 2004–2008 and the 6 speed manual was only available with the normally aspirated M112 V6, the SRT-6 was automatic only, no exceptions.
Just like the C32 and SLK32.
The seller is being optimistic possibly, hoping that saying the trans came out of an SRT-6 will somehow make it strong enough to live long term behind that engine. Worth a try maybe.
People are using this same trans behind the 350hp/390tq 5.4 V8 so there should not be an issue. FCP Euro featured a guy with a W210 E55 with the swap.
