The fifth generation (internally designated S197) Mustang was launched in 2005 with a well-executed retro-styled platform that set a new baseline for future Mustang generations. Later restyles (mid-cycle restyle in 2011 and generation change in 2015) added additional tough looks and horsepower and width and girth to the Mustang…but the early S197 is the cleanest looking of the post-2005 Mustangs (think of it like a 1965-66 Mustang versus the 67-68, 69-70, etc). The design was clean and simple in the V6 models, but got some fancy wings and junk in the V8 GT trim, unless you got the limited Bullitt edition from 2008 or 2009. The Bullitt package was a de-winged subtle appearance and power package available only on GT models in dark highland green or black that added some serious Steve McQueen cool to the S197. 08 Ford Mustang Bullitt #4557 This was the more rare as the Black Bullitt only 1431 were built in 08. These Bullitts were only built for 2 years 2008 & 2009. However, the color isn’t what makes this Bullitt rare. It’s all the Factory upgrades and factory tuning that will leave you wondering if it’ll pass smog!? Rest assured, these cars do pass smog, have full catalytic converters but the black ones sport a factory upgraded cam tune, ford racing Cold Air Intake system, factory Flowmaster Exhaust, 3:73 rear gear ratio, factory octane tuned to run 87-93 octane. Therefore giving them more horsepower than your average Mustang GT. Not many people know about these cars and what makes them rare and more pricey. Most people amount the Bullitt to just a paint job and the wheels, but the more you research them the more you find what exactly FORD and Ford Racing were up to.

Green Bullitts are widely known, but the black ones are the actual rare model. Look on Google for more info.
This car is indeed smog legal and has a current smog certificate in hand with a clean title in hand as well. (Please view photos)
Bluetooth stereo, lambo doors hinges, and eibach lowering springs are the only aftermarket modifications done to the car.
Only blemishes I have noticed is a tear in top part of driver seat, armrest cover is coming up, e-brake handle is missing part of its cover.

These are really nice. The seller for once is completely accurate in describing this as way more than just a paint job. Especially since the black was a normal GT color. My only question is if the black ones were mechanically different to the green ones, I do not believe they were. I drove one of these back to back with a stock GT and it was an amazingly better package.
The “Lambo” doors ruined the car, IMHO.
Yeah, kind of a weird decision to take a quintessentially American car and Italian-ize it.
Those doors are all hinky, they don’t work properly and if you do it wrong it’s wrecked.
