10k: Silver Priced: 1982 Alfa Romeo GTV6
The Alfa Romeo GTV6 was a coupe version of the Alfetta Sedan fitted with the V6 from the Alfa Romeo 6 executive sedan. Prices of the GTV6 are generally low but the nice examples natuarlly demand more cash…is this clean low mile example worth the extra dough? Find this 1982 Alfa Romeo GTV6 offered for $12,500 in San Carlos, CA via craigslist. Tip from Kaibeezy.
This GTV6 is offered around the price for a condition 1 car per Hargerty’s current valuation (for whatever that’s worth) which means it should be concours ready or have significant collector interest (like low miles, particular vin number, rare option, A-list previous owner etc.)
It is hard to tell with the poor photos, but cracked leather seats don’t scream concours to me…but…with only 66k miles on the odometer it could be nicer than it looks. The real details that make up the difference between a condition 3 and 1 car is having everything function and appear factory perfect. Regardless the 160 horsepower V6 mated to a rear-mounted 5-spd transaxle should make for a fun driver.

I have an '82 GTV6. Sprung like a tank, very peppy, but lacks PS. You need to be strong to make a turn. Very solid car.
This'un looks more like an '84-'86 car, if the car's in original paint, with the dark silver lower bits, door moldings, big badges and Recaro-style seats. The ignition system and engine management system is revised from the original '81 specs and more similar to the Milano stuff.
I don't get why the Bertone GTVs go for so much more than these things, since the Alfettas drive so much better than the 115-series cars and are much less plentiful. Must be the looks and simplicity.
Crack pipe price. Lousy photos don't hide the dents and tired interior. Nice model, but just say no to this one.
