Turbo Track Rat: 2015 Honda Fit

Somebody dumped a load of money into this next car. It takes some serious dough to get 317 wheel-horsepower out of a Honda Fit…and it’s got a bunch of modifications for track days (I’m not familiar with any racing league where this could be raced wheel-to-wheel with other cars and be competitive). However, the asking price is maybe fifth of what has been poured into this thing. Find this 2015 Honda Fit offered for $8000 in Milpitas, CA via craigslist.

Crow Seat BeltHad this car for over five years. Very enjoyable and fast car for what is is. Currently on a 91 tune making ~317WHP. Vehicle was tracked only once at Buttonwillow Raceway Park. There are small paint chips, but this is a track car, not a show car. As of recent years, I have not driven this car as much and I’m ready to part ways with it. Hopefully this vehicle can find a new home soon, for someone who can give her more love than I could. I am mainly looking for cash so I can fund my other projects/interests. I will entertain all trades and offers, worse I can say is no. Last and most important thing to be said, this is a Track/Race Car. There should be no intention to use this as a road car. Looking for a mature buyer, this should not to be someone’s first or second car. Tags are paid until April 2022. Please email me any questions you may have.

“I have this car with license plates and registration through spring 2022. I have photographed it on a public roadway. if you buy it, you should not drive it on roads” bit of cognitive dissonance, here.
Well Jim Hall had Texas plates on his Can Am Chaparrals and today Count Rossi’s 917 has Texas plates although it originally was road registered in Alabama. New York is also pretty open to issuing plates for anything you can imagine except a late model wreck as long as it doesn’t set wheel in New York State.
California, not so much.
What I find interesting is that someone spent a pile of money on building a track car, used it on track once, and is selling it with 2000 miles on it after 8 years for about what you could get by parting it out.
Translated I think it’s: I built this car for fun but it wasn’t the fun I was expecting and it’s too scary to drive and or I broke something.
Something’s weird.
Of course it could be just a disclaimer to deter the buyer’s heirs from suing. After all, 317WHP Fit , what could go wrong?
The caveat that comes with this car is that you can only use this 317 horsepower while the wheels are in contact with the ground.
Well at least two wheels on the ground if it’s like the original Minis. Nothing like watching them race at Laguna Seca on two wheels like synchronized swimmers.
Hmm, no mention of a locking differential or better yet a spool. Can’t imagine driving this with an open diff unless my family owned a tire store.
