Young At Heart: 1991 Toyota MR2

A wise man said to me the other day: “When I’m driving my car around, I never think that I need more power or handling…but I always think, I need more space or I need better fuel economy.” Wait, did I say “wise”? Because I meant old. That is such an old guy thing to say, but I find myself agreeing with that thought more than I should…so to combat the urge to go slow and large with good fuel economy, I’m going to feature this next car which has almost zero storage space, a large non-fuel efficient upgraded engine. This car will keep you young. Find this 1991 Toyota MR2 offered for $17,500 in White Salmon, OR via craigslist. Tip from Rock On!

Nice find.
I almost bought an MR2 last August. It was a great deal but I was 1hr late on my email. Probably for the best being my Miata is still in pieces, but I got the engine back the other day and am now trying to puzzle the rest of it back together. My labels, wtf was/is wrong with my brain?!
Or perhaps this is exactly what the old man is looking for. They’re the only car I’ve ever sat in as an adult where I could push the front seat back so far my feet couldn’t reach the pedals. The car has some usable storage space both behind the engine and under the hood. And with a fairly stock Camry engine, how bad could the mileage be?
