You Did What Now? 1970 Lotus Europa

The Lotus Europa is one of my favorite budget friendly super-cars from the 60s/70s and it featured a Lotus (or Renault) 4-cylinder engine mounted behind the driver with a transaxle pushing power to the rear wheels, all mounted on a fancy steel backbone chassis…but what we’ve got here today is a total bastard. It is now front-engine, rear wheel-drive, sitting on a Chevy Chevette chassis…which is a terrible thing to do to something designed by Colin Chapman. It’s like taking a vintage Tag Heuer watch and replacing the movement with a bottom end Casio guts. But the worst part…the worst…is the fake 6 exhaust pipes. I just don’t have words. Seller’s Description

1970 Lotus Europa on custom Chassis with Chevrolet Chevette drivetrain and automatic transmission. The car has been sitting for a few years but fires right up and idles nice. It runs smooth for a drive up the street but randomly will shut off like gas is being restricted or if something is in fuel line. As soon as it shuts off you can start it right back up again. When sitting still it will idle all day long. All lights, radio, gauges, power windows and so on all work as they should with only exception wipers. Car is titled as 1970 Lotus Europa. Car was built in the 80’s so expect a 40 year old build and many flaws in paint, but it is all there and is pretty cool for the money. Watch video with link below! Only Asking $9,500 obo. Car is also posted on Ebay tomorrow. Call or Text Chris at [hidden information] link to car starting and running
