Why So Cheap? 1973 MG MGB GT

The MGB GT is one of those classics that looks like a million bucks but only costs a few. I spent a better part of my youth trying to figure out what makes certain cars expensive and others cheap — and you can play with production numbers and quality and performance and blah-blah-blah till the sun goes down…but sometimes you’ve just got to be happy when they are affordable. Because that means you can drive something vintage without tapping into your savings or selling one of your kids. Find this 1973 MGB GT bidding for $3600 on eBay (or on craigslist) with 4 days to go, located in Los Angeles, CA.

From the seller:
Car is selling with NO Reserve and will sell!
This is an awesome 1973 MGB GT that I purchased from the original owner who bought it brand new in 1973. It has been a Colorado car its entire life and garage kept. I have all the original books, WINDOW STICKER, original PINK SLIP, dealer option list and many more items from when the car was first new! This is a true collector car with its awesome 1 owner history. 4 Speed Manual.
I recently just did a service on it myself which included new oil, I used ZR1 High Zinc oil, new oil filter, gas tank flush, carburetor cleaning, carburetor adjustment. So the car is ready to go!

The car runs and drives great. Super fast and fun. It shift perfect and goes in to gear every time. The clutch was also replaced about 100 miles ago. The car needs nothing everything on it is operating. The only thing is there is a little rust on the passenger side front bottom fender, and rear fender. I added photos. Other than that the car is completely dry. It remains completely original and had a repaint in the past but still remains with its original yellow color.
The odometer states 43,000 miles but I spoke to the owner and he said it was rolled over once so its really 143,000 miles. He is a super cool and interesting guy with great knowledge on the car.
The car includes,
all the keys and spares keys
original window sticker
original dealer option list
original spare tire
original tool kit/jack set
original pink slip
original manuals
and some extra parts.
This is the last year with the steel metal bumpers. This car is a true survivor and is in great shape for its age.
