White & Phonedials: 1987 Porsche 924S

The Porsche 924 doesn’t get much attention at the national Concours d’ Fancypants events around the manicured lawns of America, but it is one of the cars credited with saving Porsche when times were tough. The 924S was the final iteration of the 924’s career and it ended on a bang with the 2.5 liter engine from the 944 replacing the Audi sourced 4-banger in the earlier 924. Find this 1987 Porsche 924S offered for $3,500 in Brazil, IN via fakeface bookplace.

Seller’s Description
Up for sale is my 1987 Porsche 924s. runs and drives well. Needs just a little work to be real nice, price will reflect as I fix things. Runs slightly warmer than I would like. Needs new sunroof relay, the heat blender door is stuck open and it has a small oil leak. other than that it’s a lot of fun. Approximately 8,000 of the “S” cars were shipped to the US between 1987 and 1988. Factory 944 driveline.

The last photo is just a reference of what I planned for it. Thanks for looking!
